Claude Marc was born in Montreal, and started dancing at the age of 7. His foremost love was for classical dance, however he also trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballroom and Latin dance. He began his professional training at "l'École de danse Eddy Toussaint", primarily under Camilla Malashenko. In 1981, he joined Mr. Toussaints dance company, "Les Ballets de Montreal".

Under Mr. Toussaints artistic direction, Claude Marc toured in Europe, The United States and South America. He had the pleasure of dancing with many great dancers including Anick Bissonnette, Louis Robitaille, Brigitte Valette, Egle Lopez, Frank Augustine and more. In 1990, he left Les Ballets de Montreal, with a scholarship to dance in Paris, France.

While in Paris, he took classes with the best teachers from the "Opera de Paris". Claude Marc also attend workshops with other renowned teachers such as Jacqueline Finahert. Upon arrival back in Canada, he began to teach in Montreal at "L'Academie des Moulin". It was at this time that in collaboration with France Dufresne, Claude Marc started his own contemporary company. Claude Marc moved to Kingston in 2002, and in 2007 began teaching at 5678 Dance Studio.
